When I record my music, I strive to capture a moment in time rather than aimlessly wander towards perfection.

My musical tastes, techniques, and goals gradually shift in both subtle and vast directions, and if I don’t make my albums quickly, I tend to lose interest in the projects that once captivated me to the point of playing a guitar melody or pad loop over and over, losing myself in the sounds.

Last night, I struggled to sleep and opted to record that moment in time, and if it became something that I’d want to share, I would. Late night sessions are cathartic in a sense… I don’t have to be bothered by checking my phone or being fully present for anyone. It’s truly time for me, and I am able to pour my emotions into my music without the worries of time constraints.

This album is dedicated to those that support me through everything… the ones I’ve lost touch with… the ones I’ve lost forever and will lose soon… the ones I have not yet met… and the love of my life that stands by me through every struggle that I face.

These moments are fleeting, yet it’s comforting to know that I’ll be able to cherish a piece of that late night and share it with those that care about me. It’s not intended to be perfect, but it certainly is a moment that I want to share.
